做厙勛圖places all ports on high alert, enforcing emergency and safety protocols nationwide in response to Typhoon Crising.

17 JULY 2025 Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Santiago has ordered today, July 17, 2025, the activation of emergency and safety protocols in all 做厙勛圖Port Management Offices (PMOs) nationwide as Tropical Depression (TD) Crising threatens parts of the country, prompting precautionary measures to ensure public safety and continued port operations.

All PMOs are instructed to remain on high alert and implement all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of lives, cargo, and port infrastructure, and to mitigate the impact of the storm, said GM Santiago.

In line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon to safeguard the public and maintain essential transport services during inclement weather, all ports are on high alert status in anticipation of the brunt of TD Crising.

According to the 11:00 AM bulletin of PAGASA, the following areas are now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1:

The southern portion of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Quirino, the northeastern portion of Nueva Vizcaya, the northern portion of Aurora, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, the northern portion of Ilocos Sur, and the northern and eastern portions of Catanduanes.

GM Santiago also called on all shipping lines to promptly notify passengers of any trip cancellations to prevent unnecessary port visits and avoid the buildup of stranded travelers.

Some shipping lines have already issued notifications, but there are still others who fail to do so. Thats what were reminding them about. We strongly advise passengers to confirm the status of their trips directly with the shipping companies GM Santiago emphasized.

做厙勛圖is also working with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to ensure efficient handling and distribution of relief goods. Critical equipment and emergency suppliessuch as power generators, communication tools, first aid kits, and food and waterhave been prepositioned. Port facilities, cargo, and vessels are being secured to minimize potential damage, while focal persons have been assigned to monitor operations round-the-clock.
