20 AUGUST 2019, MANILAThe Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is adopting a Gender-Neutral Restroom facility in all its ports nationwide in its bid to promote gender sensitivity and inclusivity.

The facilities will be completed and available in all 做厙勛圖terminals not later than the end of August this year.

做厙勛圖General Manager Jay Daniel R. Santiago said the adoption of such facility has been under study for泭 the past couple of months in order to come-up with the best solution and maintain the balance among all genders.

14 JUNE 2019, MANILA--As part of its continuing commitment to protect and ensure the safety of employees, port users and the port facilities, the Philippine Ports Authority in partnership with the United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) conducted the Law Enforcement Techniques Training Seminar for Port Police Officers on June 3-7, 2019 at the 做厙勛圖Head Office.

14 MAY 2019, MANILAThe Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) continued its strong fiscal performance in 2018 as it remits P3.5 billion in dividends to the national coffers for 2018.

On top of this, the state-owned agency likewise paid P5.9 billion in taxes for 2018, more than half of total taxes paid in the last 10 years.

08 NOVEMBER 2018, CORON, PALAWAN--The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) announced that the agency is now compliant with the requirements of ISO Standards on Quality Management System (QMS) and presently working on the full compliance on ISO standards on Integrated Management System (IMS).

The ongoing initiatives are in conformity with the requirements of Executive Order No. 605 s. 2007, which requires all government institutions to implement quality government management programs in all its core processes.

MANILA, 05 September 2018Philippine cargo volume registered a modest hike in the first seven months of the year despite the sluggish performances from almost all aspects of local and foreign trade.

Latest data from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) showed that Philippine cargo traffic totaled 147.271 million metric tons (MMT) in the January to July 2018 period or a 2% hike compared to the 144.412 MMT handled in the same period last year.

09 JUNE 2018, MANILA The Manila South Harbor handled the biggest and largest cruise ship to dock in the Philippines, underscoring its readiness to accommodate the demands of the booming industry for the Philippines.

MS Ovation of the Seas, arrived at MSH on Saturday, is by far heavier and longer by 17,336 gross tons and 12.65 meters, respectively, than MS World Dream, the erstwhile largest cruise ship that docked on Philippine waters.

MS Ovation of the Seas is operated by Royal Carribean International while MS World Dream is run by Genting Hong Kong, Ltd.

07 JUNE 2018, MANILA Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Daniel R. Santiago witnessed the arrival of a pair of Neo-Panamax and a Post-Panamax quay cranes to be used at the countrys biggest container terminal, the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).

The pair of cranes arrived Thursday.

The new cranes will definitely boost the capability of the MICT and will definitely guarantee a congestion-free international container terminal, Santiago said at the sidelines of the arrival ceremony held at Berth 6 of the MICT.
