16 FEBRUARY泭2023, MANILA The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has assured the public that there is no congestion nor backlog in all its covered ports as the year starts.
Comparing it to last year, as of January 2023, Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) has recorded 80.75% yard utilization rate or a 9.1% increase from January last year and Manila South Harbor with 67.80%, or a 0.3% decrease from last year respectively.
08 MARSO泭2023, MASBATE泭泭Pormal ng binuksan sa publiko ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ang bagong Port Operations Building (POB) at Transit Shed nito sa Port of Masbate ngayong araw, ika-8 ng Marso 2023.
Mula sa dati nitong kapasidad na kaya lamang makapag serbisyo sa 100 na pasahero, kaya na ng bagong POB na maserbisyuhan ang mahigit na 500 pasahero anumang oras, higit na limang beses na mas malaki kumpara sa kapasidad ng lumang passenger terminal building sa pantalan.
27 MARSO泭2023, CALAPAN泭泭Matapos ang matagumpay na inagurasyon ng Port Operations Building (POB) ng Masbate at Coron kamakailan ay binuksan na rin sa publiko ang pinaka malaking Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) sa buong bansa na matatagpuan sa Calapan Port, Oriental Mindoro ngayong araw, ika-27 ng Marso 2023.
Ang mas pinalaki, pinaganda at modernong PTB ng Port of Calapan ay makapagbibigay serbisyo na sa nasa 3,500 na pasahero anumang oras mula sa dating kapasidad ng lumang terminal na nasa 1,600 lamang.

30 MARCH泭2023, MANILA 泭The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is now implementing its "No Leave Policy" and "Full Manpower" directive from General Manager Jay Santiago during this Holy Week in preparation for the expected influx of passengers.
The issued memorandum in lieu of said directive is effective from April 3 to April 10, 2023 from which the personnel are expected to cater to the needs of thousands of passengers this Lenten season. 04 ENERO泭2023, MAYNILA Karagdagang barko ang nakikitang solusyon ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) sa naging mahabang pila ng mga pasahero sa Port of Calapan sa unang araw ng balik eskwela at trabaho matapos ang holiday season.
Ayon kay Port Management Office (PMO) Mindoro Port Manager Elvis Medalla, bukod kasi sa malakas na alon ng dagat at sama ng panahon, naging mabagal rin kasi ang turn-around time ng mga pampasaherong barko sa nasabing pantalan dahil nabawasan ang mga barko na bumabiyahe rito.
