09 FEBRUARY��2023, MANILA — Cruise ships are now back in the tourism scene as they resume operations in different parts of the country starting today (Feb 9, 2023), after a three year break due to pandemic travel restrictions. Among the places that will be visited are Ilocos Sur, Palawan, and Bohol from February 9-14, 2023.

16 FEBRUARY��2023, MANILA —The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has assured the public that there is no congestion nor backlog in all its covered ports as the year starts.

Comparing it to last year, as of January 2023, Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) has recorded 80.75% yard utilization rate or a 9.1% increase from January last year and Manila South Harbor with 67.80%, or a 0.3% decrease from last year respectively.

08 MARSO��2023, MASBATE��—��Pormal ng binuksan sa publiko ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ang bagong Port Operations Building (POB) at Transit Shed nito sa Port of Masbate ngayong araw, ika-8 ng Marso 2023.

Mula sa dati nitong kapasidad na kaya lamang makapag serbisyo sa 100 na pasahero, kaya na ng bagong POB na maserbisyuhan ang mahigit na 500 pasahero anumang oras, higit na limang beses na mas malaki kumpara sa kapasidad ng lumang passenger terminal building sa pantalan.

22 MARSO��2023, PALAWAN��—��Matapos ang inagurasyon ng Port Operations Building (POB) ng Port of Masbate, POB naman ng Coron Palawan ang binuksan na ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ngayong ika-22 ng Marso 2023.

27 MARSO��2023, CALAPAN��—��Matapos ang matagumpay na inagurasyon ng Port Operations Building (POB) ng Masbate at Coron kamakailan ay binuksan na rin sa publiko ang pinaka malaking Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) sa buong bansa na matatagpuan sa Calapan Port, Oriental Mindoro ngayong araw, ika-27 ng Marso 2023.

Ang mas pinalaki, pinaganda at modernong PTB ng Port of Calapan ay makapagbibigay serbisyo na sa nasa 3,500 na pasahero anumang oras mula sa dating kapasidad ng lumang terminal na nasa 1,600 lamang.

05 MARCH��2023, MANILA —��After careful consideration and series of reviews, �����Թ�Administrative Order (AO) No. 04-2021 or the “Policy on the Registration and Monitoring of Containers” of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and its Implementing Operating Guidelines gets a greenlight from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).��

�����Թ�was able to submit to ARTA the regulatory impact statement of the Trusted Operator Program- Container Registry and Monitoring System (TOP-CRMS) on February 2, 2023 and after a month, ARTA has given it a rating of 36- "Good Practice RIS”.��

30 MARCH��2023, MANILA —��The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is now implementing its "No Leave Policy" and "Full Manpower" directive from General Manager Jay Santiago during this Holy Week in preparation for the expected influx of passengers.

The issued memorandum in lieu of said directive is effective from April 3 to April 10, 2023 from which the personnel are expected to cater to the needs of thousands of passengers this Lenten season. According to �����Թ�GM Jay Santiago, this order covers all personnel including PPA’s frontline services on duty. ��

23 ENERO��2023, MAYNILA —Nilinaw ni Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Santiago na hindi layon ng Trusted Operator Program - Container Registry and Monitoring System (TOP-CRMS) na dagdagan pa ang taas ng presyo ng mga bilihin sa merkado, sa halip ito nga aniya ang tutugon sa mga unregulated charges sa logistics cost tulad ng container deposit na ipinapataw ng mga foreign shipping lines.

04 ENERO��2023, MAYNILA —Karagdagang barko ang nakikitang solusyon ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) sa naging mahabang pila ng mga pasahero sa Port of Calapan sa unang araw ng balik eskwela at trabaho matapos ang holiday season.

Ayon kay Port Management Office (PMO) Mindoro Port Manager Elvis Medalla, bukod kasi sa malakas na alon ng dagat at sama ng panahon, naging mabagal rin kasi ang turn-around time ng mga pampasaherong barko sa nasabing pantalan dahil nabawasan ang mga barko na bumabiyahe rito.
